ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND LANDSCAPE
This elementary school project is linked with a park extension and a public planning answering the topic: territories and landscape.
Located on the higher slopes of Vizille castle park, this project is between two different territory typologies, one dense urban part in contrast to a plain part. Thanks to this location the project has the advantage of a 360° view. Thus, this planning becomes a visual and physical link between city and countryside.First, we can identify two circulations in this park extension: one urban walking path and a walk in the greens. A public place links these two places. This walk enable a new way to cross the village, on the higher slopes, in front of the landscape and closer to the nature. The wood walk between trees seems like a flowing ribbon.
The elementary school implantation enables to intensify the link between village and countryside. Integrated in the sloping ground and facing up to each other, these two blocks are symmetrically organized: a glass corridor, classrooms and a services corridor. The footbridge links both roofs and shows the main entrance of buildings.
